I was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  I attended college at Oklahoma State University, then moved to Liberal, Kansas to accept my first teaching job.  While in Liberal, I taught a variety of math classes, as well as English as a Second Language and helped start a college prep program called AVID.

In 2011, I moved to Emporia, Kansas, where I taught 8th grade math and 7th grade Algebra 1.  During the summer of 2012, I accepted a position here at Anadarko Middle School.
